Louis Kelly, The Commonwealth’s Attorney, has always seen the value in cultivating young legal talent and building relationships with future attorneys. One of Louis’s top priories has been to create a rewarding internship program for both the interns and the attorneys they work beside. Interns for the 54th Judicial Circuit will have the opportunity to assist with felony case preparation in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. Interns work under the supervision of Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorneys and will assist in felony case preparation including research, discovery responses, motion responses, and indictments. Interns will attend court appearances including felony dockets, motion hearings and trials. If the intern is able to obtain a limited license, they will have ample opportunity to participate in court proceedings.
For inquires about the internship program please contact Margaret Martin (859) 586-1723 (mmartin@prosecutors.ky.gov).
