In the first felony criminal jury trial in Boone County since the KY Supreme Court lifted restrictions on jury trials, a jury returned a verdict of guilty to the charge of murder and a sentencing recommendation of life in prison in Commonwealth v. Larry Herald, 19-CR-645.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Leanne Beck served as lead prosecutor and was joined by First Assistant, Jason Hiltz. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case, lead by Detective Anthony Theetge, along with many other individuals.
